This review is about shop honesty
and not quality of work.
Couple of months back I went in with a front right suspension noise.
I stated to service writer that it was most likely a front sway bar link since it only made noise when going over speed bumps.
Several hours later I get a call that they need to rebuilt front and rear suspension, this includes shocks and their hardware, estimate is roughly $700 dls and I ask them to do the work but install OEM parts and I’ll pay the difference.
They couldn’t get OE so I declined work to be perform and took it to my regular VW dealer in San Diego
and I told them the same story I said to TERSA (noise over speed bumps)
My San Diego dealer called me back in about 2 hours and said it was a loose sway bar link bolt, no need to replace parts, it was not worn or damage, loose only. They were very kind to send a video of loose bolt
All they had to do was torque to specs
And not rebuild the front and rear suspension like TERSA wanted.
I showed the dealer mechanic the images of the inspection sent to me by TERSA and he said: Those are not images of your vehicle’s filters
The filters on your car are original all around and the pictures TERSA send me are Fram filters, they do not match.
Called TERSA and told them what had happened with my car and that inspection images are not of parts installed in my car, told her I was very upset that it was unfair practice on their behalf, service writer apologized said she was sorry and was going to talk to management about what had happened
So I waited for a call and 3 months later that has not happened so I decided to write a review.
Shame on your business
I would have given you another opportunity if you have called and said we will work to recover your business.
Action have been taken to prevent this from happening to you and other customers.
At this time, I have no confidence, trust and willingness to work with them again,
I can honestly say they’re out for your money.
